ABOUT OUR PARISH VILLAGES

Brandon Parva – hill where broom grows; Coston – slope, riverbank; Runhall – nook of land where there are tree trunks; Welborne – the running brook from the well; all in the Hundred of Forehoe are quiet Mid Norfolk villages bypassed by the great events of history and undisturbed by modern developments. They still bear the imprint of the small farmers and agricultural workers who forged them. Havens of quiet and tranquillity, which enhance our way of life.

Figures taken from the 2011 national census state that the parish has a population of 401 with 148 households sitting in an area of 1,198 hectares.
